About

I am currently working as a technical specialist at Cummins Inc.

Previously I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I work under the supervision of Prof. Johanna Mathieu and Prof. Ian Hiskens at the Michigan Power and Energy Laboratory. I completed my PhD in electrical engineering at the University of Texas (UT) at San Antonio under the guidance of Dr. Ahmad F. Taha (now at Vanderbilt University). My primary research interests are mainly on the intersection between control systems and engineering optimization. My dissertation attempts to address the problem of placing/selecting sensors and actuators in cyber-physical systems, with applications on highway traffic networks and electric power systems. During my PhD study, I worked on different projects in the past and have collaborated with Dr. Christian G. Claudel from UT Austin, Dr. Junjian Qi from the University of Central Florida (now at South Dakota State University), and Dr. Tyler H. Summers from UT Dallas.
